Meet The Instructors
Aaron Norgaard
Construction Risk Mitigation Specialists
Aaron Norgaard is a construction and risk mitigation professional with more than 20 years of experience in the building industry. A journeyman carpenter and experienced general contractor, Aaron has worked extensively across both commercial and residential construction, giving him a practical understanding of how buildings are constructed, maintained, and exposed to risk over their lifecycle.
Aaron is the owner and operator of Nørgaard Construction and NorGaard Solutions, where he applies his construction expertise and risk-focused approach to helping building owners and property professionals identify vulnerabilities and implement practical, preventative solutions.
As a risk mitigation specialist, Aaron is particularly focused on identifying problems before they become costly failures. He is also an experienced public speaker and trades educator, with a passion for sharing real-world knowledge and advancing standards within the construction industry.

Adir Chen
Building Systems Risk Specialists
Adir Chen is a water risk and building systems specialist with more than 20 years of experience in plumbing, water treatment, and mechanical systems. A licensed Red Seal Plumber, G3 Gas Technician, and OWWA Backflow Prevention Specialist, Adir has built his career around understanding how water moves through buildings—and how failures within those systems can be prevented.
As Managing Director of LEaC Shield Ltd. and WATERSHIELD Inc., Adir works with property managers, building owners, engineers, and contractors to reduce water-related risk through corrosion control, flood detection, water-use monitoring, automatic shutoff technology, and preventative maintenance strategies.
His work combines hands-on trade experience with emerging technology and practical risk-management principles, with a focus on moving the industry from reacting to water damage toward identifying and mitigating risk before a loss occurs.
